The Button-Down Collar: the great thing about this type is that it goes nicely with all facial shapes and can be worn with or without a tie, depending on your personal style. Button-down collars also have a rich history, as they were worn by English polo players and then introduced to the US market by Brooks Brothers.
The Wide-Spread Collar: has a wider collar spread which goes nicely with wider tie knots like the Windsor or Half-Windsor.
