10 Cool Doll DIYs for a Perfect Summer Getaway
Are you tired of the usual games with Barbie? We are here to help you solve this problem! First, let’s make awesome flip-flops for hot summer days at the beach. We have also prepared several cool ideas for a beach party. Check out our simple tutorial on how to make an inflatable swim ring in the shape of a flamingo. Take a pop tube and foamiran, then repeat our craft.
1. Flip-flops
You will need:
- 3D or hot glue gun
- Straw or pen
How to do it:
- Use the glue gun to create the base of the flip-flop.
- Once it’s dry, place the straw on it to help you create the top part of the flip-flop.
2. Flamingo float
You will need:
- Pop Tube
- EVA foam
- Scissors
- Hot glue
How to do it:
- Take a pop tube and insert one of its ends into the other, creating a circle.
- On the EVA foam, draw and cut out the head and wings of the flamingo.
- Glue them onto the pop tube and add any details you like, such as colored shading or eyes.
3. Sun lounger
You will need:
- Straws
- Hot glue
- Scissors
How to do it:
- Place several straws side by side, aligning their extendable sides.
- Apply a line of hot glue perpendicular to the position of the straws on their non-extendable side.
- Bend the straws along their extendable side and secure them with a perpendicular line of hot glue.
- Cut the extendable part of four straws and fold two of them in half, forming an angle, then glue them to the sides of the previous piece.
- Finally, attach the ends of the remaining two straws to the angular tip of the side straws and the other end to the main piece.
4. Bikini
You will need:
- Balloon
- Scissors
How to do it:
- Cut the circular part of the balloon.
- Make two small holes in it to create the leg holes, this will be the bottom part of the bikini.
- Use the other part of the balloon as the top part of the bikini.
5. Sunglasses
You will need:
- Disposable cup
- Black marker
- Scissors
How to do it:
- Use the marker to draw the part of the cup that you’ll use to create the sunglasses.
- Once the color has dried, cut out the sunglasses shape.
- Decorate the sunglass arms to your liking.
6. Badminton racket
You will need:
- Disposable spoons
- 3D pen
- Cutter
How to do it:
- Using a cutter, cut an oval in the center of the spoon, leaving only its edges.
- Trace horizontal lines along the entire circle with the 3D pen.
- Trace vertical lines intersecting the previous ones.
7. Badminton shuttlecock
You will need:
- Air-dry clay
- Pens
- Fishing line
How to do it:
- Create a small clay ball. Insert the tips of the feathers into it.
- Thread it through with a fishing line and let it dry.
- For added security, once it’s dry, you can tie the fishing line at both ends to make sure it doesn’t come out when you hold the fishing line and move the ball from side to side, imitating the game.
8. Cotton candy stand
You will need:
- Plastic container
- Skewer sticks
- EVA foam
- Hot glue
How to do it:
- Cut the plastic container in half.
- Glue a skewer stick into each of its corners.
- Cover the base with EVA foam and by attaching a piece to the top of the skewer sticks, create an awning.
- Add strips of EVA foam of another color for decorative purposes.
9. Cotton candy
You will need:
- Wool
- Toothpick
- Glue
How to do it:
- Apply a small amount of glue to the toothpick.
- Slowly wrap the yarn around the toothpick.
- Let it dry.
10. Headphones
You will need:
- Bottle cap ring
- Hot glue
- Glitter
- Pop-it or similar circular mold
How to do it:
- In the circular mold, start by adding a bit of glitter and then fill it up with hot glue.
- Before it dries, insert each end of the bottle cap ring into the hot glue, then let it dry.
- Once it’s dry, carefully remove from the mold.
