Whether you’re a seasoned embroiderer or just starting out, you’ll find inspiration and step-by-step instructions to give your clothes a stylish makeover.

Option 1

You will need:

  • Colorful yarn
  • Needle
  • Scissors

How to do it:

  • We will begin by creating a small chain stitch strip using green thread to replicate the stem of a flower.
  • Wrap several rounds of a different-colored thread around your index and middle fingers, and once you achieve the desired thickness, secure it at the top of the stem.
  • Lift the two sides of the circular thread piece upwards and encircle its base with several rounds of green thread to secure it.
  • Finally, trim the circular thread ends to mimic a flower.

Option 2

You will need:

  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Scissors

How to do it:

  • Starting to sew from the inside of the garment to the inside.
  • Create diagonal stitches with the needle, once on each side, forming a shape similar to that of a leaf.
  • Once the desired area is covered with stitches, we will pull the thread tightly to create a beautiful decorative gather.

Option 3

You will need:

  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Satin ribbon
  • Bead
  • Scissors

How to do it:

  • Using long stitches, create a five-thread base star.
  • Tie a knot at one end of the satin ribbon and thread it through a large needle.
  • Insert the needle with the satin ribbon into the center of the star from the back of the fabric, and pass it over and under, alternately, the points of the thread star.
  • Continue this process until the thread star is completely covered.
  • As a final touch, you can add a decorative bead in the center of the flower.

Option 4

You will need:

  • Yarn
  • Needle
  • Scissors

How to do it:

  • This embroidery is very similar to the previous one but with a star with more points.
  • Everything is done with the same thread, and each of the star’s points is surrounded with thread before moving on to the next.
  • Continue wrapping the threads and the shape until the star is completely covered.

Option 5

You will need:

  • Thread
  • Needle
  • Scissors

How to do it:

  • This is another option for decorative gatherings.
  • Insert the needle from bottom to top, switch sides, and insert the needle again vertically.
  • Switch sides once more and repeat the process vertically, continuing until you reach the desired size.
  • Finally, pull the thread tightly to gather the fabric.
