1. Straw flops

Things you’ll need:

  • Straws
  • Non-stick paper
  • An iron
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue

How to make them:

  • Extend the straws on a flat surface
  • Put the non-stick paper on them
  • Iron until the straws are melted
  • Cut the shape of flops soles from the melted straws
  • Cut another piece of straws for the flops
  • Stick both parts together with glue

2. Portable greenhouse

Things you’ll need:

  • An empty gallon of water
  • A cutter
  • Soil, seeds and water

How to make it:

  • Take the lid of the gallon off and, using a cutter, open the sides of it
  • Put soil and seeds inside the gallon
  • Water and close the gallon with the lid
  • Wait until the seeds have sprouted

3. Planter decoration

Things you’ll need:

  • The sleeve of an old shirt
  • Scissors
  • An elastic band
  • A planter

How to do it:

  • Cut the upper part of the sleeve
  • Turn it inside out and tie the part that has no buttons, with the band
  • Put the tied part inside the bottom of the planter
  • Turn the sleeve outside in, covering the planter up

4. No dog digging on your plants

For this craft, you’ll just need a cardboard box and toothpicks. It’ll help you keep your pet from digging in the soil of your inhouse plants.

How to make it:

  • Cut a circle from a cardboard box
  • Make a circle in the middle of the shape you just cut
  • Insert toothpicks in your cardboard circle
  • Put it over the soil of your planter

5. Aloe roll-on

Reuse an empty deodorant bottle as an aloe roll on:

  • Take out the ball that works as a roll on
  • Make sure the bottle is clean and refill with aloe gel
  • Put the rolling ball back in

6. Keep your brushes clean

  • Put a piece of nylon tighs on the brush and through the bristles
  • Comb your hair as usual and when you’re done, remove the piece of nylon, collecting the hair

7. Bottle flower lamp

Things you’ll need:

  • An empty soda bottle
  • Scissors
  • A lighter
  • A glue gun
  • Electric candles

How to do it:

  • Cut off the upper quarter of the bottle
  • Use the scissors to cut the wider part of the piece you got, creating petals
  • Burn the edges of the petals with the lighter
  • Add as many petals as you want and stick them with hot glue
  • Place the electric candle on the base of the bottle

8. Watering bottle

Things you’ll need:

  • An empty softener bottle
  • A scratch awl

How to do it:

  • Heat the scratch awl and make holes to the lid of the bottle
  • Make a hole on the top part of the handle of the bottle
  • Fill the bottle with water and use it as a watering can
