8 DIY Room Decor for an amazing Mermaid Room Makeover

1. Rainbow Projector

You will need:

• Roll of adhesive tape
• Colored markers

How to do it:

• Cut several strips of adhesive tape long enough to completely cover one end of the roll.
• Paint colorful stripes on the adhesive tape and let the ink dry.
• Shine light through the tape to see the projected rainbow on any surface.

2. Wall Decoration

You will need:

• Wooden or plastic rod
• Colored yarn
• Cardboard
• Cotton or furry fabric
• Hot glue

How to do it:

• Knot strips of colored yarn onto the rod.
• Cut out cloud shapes from cardboard and cover them with cotton or furry fabric.

3. Mermaid Mirror

How to do it:

• Cardboard egg carton tray
• Paint

• String or fishing line

How to do it:

• Cut circles from the cardboard egg carton tray.
• Paint them in different colors.
• Glue them together to form flowers.
• Attach some strings, or fishing line, to the back to hang wherever desired.

5. Pom-Pom Mirror

You will need:

• Mirror
• Pom-poms
• Hot glue

How to do it:

• Apply a drop of hot glue to one of the corners of the mirror and attach a pom-pom.
• Continue attaching pom-poms around it.
• Keep attaching pom-poms until you cover the entire outer frame of the mirror.

6. Artificial Palm Tree

You will need:

• Pool noodles
• Paint
• Polyethylene ball
• Large feathers

How to do it:

• Cut small pieces from the pool noodles.
• Hollow them out and thread another pool noodle through them.
• Repeat several times to create the rings for the palm tree trunk.
• Paint the polyethylene ball the same color as the pool noodle and attach feathers to it until it’s completely covered.
• Glue the ball to the pool noodle.

7. Cloud Headboard

You will need:

• LED lights
• Cotton
• Spray adhesive

How to do it:

• Attach the LED lights to the wall in the desired arrangement.
• Glue small cotton balls in the shape of clouds over the lights until they are completely covered.

8. Beaded Hangers

You will need:

• Hangers
• Colored beads

How to do it:

• Open the hanger hook.
• Thread the colored beads onto the wire.
• Continue inserting beads until the wire is completely covered.
• Close the hanger again.
