9 Lifesavers for Everyday Situations

1. Convert your flip-flops into a phone holder.
What you’ll need: flip-flops, a pencil, a cutter, a small scoop, and a phone
How to do it:
- Take a pair of flip-flops.
- Choose one (left or right) and turn it upside down.
- Place your phone on the flip-flop and, with a pencil, trace around it.
- Follow the outline with a cutter. Don’t go too deep, just enough to fit your phone.
- Inside the marked area, cut lines into small square shapes.
- Take a small scoop.
7. With the small scoop, scrape the excess material to make a smooth frame-like shape and place your phone inside.

2. Turn your fan into an air freshener using bandages.
What you’ll need: 4 or more bandages, your favorite essential oil, and a fan
How to do it:
- Take a bandage and peel the sides a bit to expose the middle.
- Add a few drops of essential oil.
- Do this with the number of bandages you need, depending on the size of the fan, and stick them on the fan.
- Turn the fan on and enjoy the fresh, scented air.
3. Take a broken key out of a lock using hot glue.
What you’ll need: a hot glue silicon gun and silicon sticks
How to do it:
- Set aside the key’s broken part.
- Add some hot silicon to the part of the key stuck inside the lock.
- Place the broken piece on top of that part.
- Let it cool and open the lock.
4. Have scented fresh air inside your car.
What you’ll need: a scented wet tissue
How to do it:
- Take a scented wet tissue.
- Place a small part of it inside the car’s vent.
- Turn the ventilation on and enjoy some fresh air.
5. Make a candle that repels insects.
What you’ll need: a candle in a glass container, a pot with water, citronella oil, a metal stick, a candlewick, and a pencil
How to do it:
- Pour water into a pot and place it on the stove. Turn it to medium-high heat, and once it starts simmering, place the candle in the center.
- When the candle melts, take the candlewick out with tweezers.
- Put a few drops of citronella oil on top.
- Mix with a metal stick.
- Roll a candlewick around the middle of a pencil and let the wick hang inside the wax.
6. Direct cool air from a fan using your shorts.
What you’ll need: a fan and a pair of pants
How to do it:
- Put some pants on a fan like you are dressing it up.
- Turn on the fan and enjoy the cool air with a friend.
7. Make an emergency shower head using a plastic bottle.
What you’ll need: a plastic bottle, a knife, and some tape
How to do it:
- If full, empty the plastic bottle.
- With a knife, carefully poke some holes at the bottom of the bottle.
- Place the opening of the bottle on the shower tube.
- Secure the bottle with tape.
- Enjoy saving the day and your nice shower.
8. Keep your thighs cool using a laptop.
What you’ll need: 1 egg carton tray and a laptop
