1. How to build a cement fountain
Things you’ll need:
- Cement
- Sand paper
- A hot glue gun
- Kinetic sand
- Fake plants
- A polishing drill
Objects you’ll need as molds:
- A grenade fruit
- Rectangular silicon molds of different sizes
- Plexiglass
- A glass tray
How to make the ponds:
- Cut a grenade in half and put it facing down on a flat surface
- Pour cement over the grenade, covering it all
- Let it dry and unmold
How to make the pond bases
- Pour cement into the rectangular molds
- Take the shapes out of the mold when they’re dry and carve curves on their surface, using the drill
How to make the frame
- Using the hot glue gun, put plexiglass bands together, to make a rectangular frame
- Pour cement into the frame, let it dry and unmold
- Polish the frame with sand paper
How to make the bottom base
- Fill the glass tray with kinetic sand and spread it to make it even
- Flip the tray upside down to unmold the sand
- Cover the sand mold with cement and wait until it’s dry
Put the pieces together
- Flip the base up when it’s dry and, using cement, glue the rectangular blocks on it
- Glue the initial grenade shapes on top of the blocks
- Put the frame vertically on the base tray
- Decorate with your preferred fake plants
