How to Create an Easy Luminescent Wall Painting, Even Without Prior Experience

Materials Needed

• A cardboard box
• Transparent plastic
• Marker
• Tape
• Flashlight or LED light
• Scissors
• Image
• Glow-in-the-dark paint
• Paintbrush

1. We will start making a DIY photo projector

2. Place your image underneath the plastic paper and, using a marker, trace over all its lines to transfer the image

3. Add all the necessary details until the image is complete

4. On one of the long sides of the box, cut out a square in the center, it will serve as the window through which images will be projected

5. Ensure that the size of the window is suitable for your image

6. Place the transparent plastic over the cutout window, make sure it’s stretched taut, and secure it with tape on all sides to keep it in place without wrinkles

7. Position the flashlight or LED light in the box, pointing to the hole you just made, so the light is directed towards the plastic paper

8. Prepare the glow-in-the-dark paint and brushes to begin painting

9. With the lights on, you’ll see it as regular paint, but when you turn off the lights, you can enjoy its magical effect

10. In a darkened room, place the box at an appropriate distance from the wall where you want to project the image and adjust the distance until you achieve the desired projection size on the wall

11. Using the projected image on the wall as a guide, trace all the lines of the drawing with a brush soaked in luminescent paint

12. Once finished, turn off the projector’s light to check the final result, if you feel that some details are missing, turn on the projector again and add what’s needed, if it’s complete, let it dry
