If you want to refresh your interior, the easiest way is to start with decorating the walls. Sometimes all you need to do is to repaint them or add an unusual ornament to make the room look completely different.

5-Minute Crafts is showing how, with the help of improvised means, one can paint the walls quickly and easily and give them an unusual look.

15. Lemon, halved

What you will need:

  • half a lemon

  • wall paint

How to paint: Take half of a lemon and dip it in the paint. Then attach it to the wall like a seal. Try using lemons in different sizes, or halves of apples, pears, and oranges, as well as alternating colors, to diversify the look.

14. Insulating tape and a paint roller for painting walls

What you will need:

  • roller for painting walls

  • insulating tape

  • wall paint

How to paint: Cut 4 strips of insulating tape 2.5-3 inches long and stick them on the roller for painting walls at an equal distance from each other. Dip the tool into the paint, remove the excess, and paint the wall.

13. Shaving machine and roller for painting walls

What you will need:

  • shaving machine
  • roller for painting walls

  • wall paint

How to paint: Using the shaving machine, remove some of the lint on the roller, then dip it in the paint and apply it to the wall to create a “speckled” pattern.

Try shaving off the lint on the roller differently. For example, you can make several grooves, twisting in a spiral as shown in the photo above.

12. Leaves

What you will need:

  • artificial leaf
  • rubber gloves

  • wall paint

How to paint: Dip the artificial leaf into the paint and apply it to the wall. Don’t forget to remove the excess paint. Try using leaves and flowers in different shapes and sizes to get a beautiful plant design.

  • scissors

  • rubber gloves

  • sponges

  • wall paint in 3 different colors

How to paint: Using scissors, cut out the outlines of mountains on a sheet of drawing paper so that you get a pattern. Repeat it 2 more times creating mountains of different heights. Dip a sponge into the paint, place the first drawing paper against the wall, and paint over the space on the wall with the sponge. Repeat this action with other sheets of drawing paper using paint in different colors. Apply patterns over each other so that the picture looks more voluminous.

10. Cups and glasses

What you will need:

  • glasses
  • cups and other pottery

6. Broom

What you will need:

  • broom
  • rubber gloves

  • wall paint
