How to Make Banana-Oatmeal Pancakes (No Gluten)
Oatmeal-banana pancakes are easy to make because of the short list of ingredients you need. Not only that, but you can also have them instead of the usual pancakes in you’re thinking about having a healthier snack. This is also a good option for people who want to start their day with a nutritious, healthy and, above all, gluten-free dish.
5-Minute Crafts wants to show you how to prepare this breakfast step-by-step. We included 2 recipes: the basic one and a variation for chocolate pancakes.
What you will need:
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup of gluten-free oatmeal
- 1 banana
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp of honey
- 1 tbsp of coconut oil
- 1 tbsp of cocoa
- 1 tbsp of brown sugar
Step 1. Crush the banana with a fork.
Step 2. Add the vanilla extract, the oatmeal, and the 2 eggs. Mix well until you get a dough with a thick consistency. If you prefer, instead of mixing manually, you can use a blender to save time. You will also get a more uniform mixture without any lumps.
Step 3. Heat a tablespoon of coconut oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add the pancake mix and wait until you can spot a few bubbles appearing on the side facing up. Then flip the pancake over and wait until it’s cooked.
Step 4. Decorate your pancakes with your favorite add ons. You can use any type of nut, chopped fruit, powdered sugar, or honey.
If you are a chocolate lover and you have a sweet tooth, you can add a spoonful of brown sugar and a spoonful of cocoa powder to the mixture. In addition to gaining in color and aroma, your mixture will have an intense chocolate flavor.
