How to Paint a Beautiful and Magical Tree of Life Picture Step by Step

The Tree of Life symbolizes harmony, equilibrium, and the link between the earthly and the spiritual realms. Trees serve as symbols of strength, individuality, serenity, growth, and the interconnectedness of all things. Following this simple step-by-step guide, you can add a touch of this magic to any corner of your home.

List of necessary materials

• Canvas
• Acrylic paints
• Plate or paint palette
• Paintbrushes and a small brush
• Glass
• Toothbrush
• Pop-it (optional)
• Adhesive paper (optional)

1. If you have a Pop-it, place the background color you want to use on a plate or paint palette and press the Pop-it onto the paint

2. We chose to make it in the shape of a rainbow, but you can also use solid colors or a combination of your choice

3. Like a stamp, press the Pop-it with the painted side onto the canvas

4. If you’re doing it without using the Pop-it, simply place drops of paint across the canvas in straight lines

5. Use the paintbrush in long strokes from side to side of the canvas to spread and blend the colors

6. Start from the top and work your way down, always making long horizontal strokes from one side to the other of the canvas

7. Dip a brush in white paint and tap it against another brush to splatter the paint onto the canvas to create stars

8. Dip the bottom of a glass in white paint and place it in the center of the canvas to create a beautiful full moon

9. Now, freehand draw some lines to shape the trunk, roots, and branches of our tree

10. Next, add some simple birds around the tree by drawing two curved lines in a single stroke

11. Use the toothbrush to create the leaves by dipping it in paint and pressing it onto the canvas but without dragging it, as if it were a stamp, with more paint in the center and gradually less toward the edges

12. Imitate the shape of a tree canopy, a shape similar to an isosceles triangle, with its bottom side much larger than the other two

13. Before starting to paint, we placed adhesive paper with a heart-shaped cutout on the canvas, you can do it in the same way, using any other shape, or skip that step altogether, just let your creativity flow!
