Materials you’ll need

- Watercolor paper
- Watercolor paints
- Tape
- Paint brushes
- Sponge
- Water and a mixing container
- Coarse salt
- A glass with a flat bottom
- Thootbrus
1. Begin by outlining the edges with tape and wetting with water the watercolor paper, making sure not to soak the paper; it should be damp but not dripping wet

2. Load your brush with the watercolor mixture and start splattering it onto the damp paper with different colors, this will create galaxy and space effects on your paper

3. Let the paper dry slightly for a few minutes, and start to sprinkle the coarse salt over the wet areas of the cosmic paint to create a unique starry effect, resembling stars in space

4. Let it dry, and once it’s dry, use a sponge to remove the excess salt that hasn’t dissolved in the water

5. Dip the flat bottom of a glass into white paint and press it onto the paper to create a moon shape

6. Take a paintbrush and gently blend one edge of the moon to create highlights and shadows

7. Soak a toothbrush in white paint and, by scraping its bristles with your finger, splatter the entire canvas to create a starry cosmic sky, remove the masking tape that was outlining the edges, and let it dry
