8 Spooky food and decoration ideas for Halloween

1. Perfect drink for a Halloween party

Things you’ll need:

  • Lychees
  • Blueberries
  • Marshmallows
  • Red juice

How to do it:

  • Put one blueberry inside each lychee
  • Snip some pieces of each marshmallow bottom to make them look like teeth
  • Put the all inside a glass jar and fill it with the juice

2. Bloody slime

Things you’ll need:

  • Clear glue
  • Stevia
  • Red Holi powder
  • Decorative eyes and insects

How to do it:

  • In a bowl, mix the glue and stevia
  • Add the Holi powder and, using your hands, blend it all together
  • Add some decorative eyes, cockroaches and spiders

3. Skeleton skewers

Things you’ll need:

  • Skewers sticks
  • Marshmallows
  • Mini pretzels
  • White chocolate, melted
  • Edible black paint

How to do it:

  • Prepare the skewer, interleaving a small marshmallow and a pretzel
  • Leaving a space on top of your skewer, for a bigger marshmallow
  • Pour the melted chocolate over the skewer
  • Insert a marshmallow on top and, with the black paint, draw a spooky face on it
  • You can bury it in a grave looking sweet to make it look even spookier

4. Edible blood

Things you’ll need:

  • Glucose syrup
  • Corn starch
  • Water
  • Red and blue food coloring

How to do it:

  • Mix in a bowl, the syrup and corn starch
  • Stir and add water, to make the mix more liquid
  • Add the food coloring to get a dark red tone
  • Use it as a syrup over your preferred desserts

5. Wound arm illusion

Things you’ll need:

  • Toothpaste
  • Concealer
  • A cotton swab
  • Fake blood
  • Pieces of plastic that look like broken glass

How to do it:

  • Apply a curved line of toothpaste along your arm
  • With the cotton swab, drag some of the past to the sides
  • With the stick of the cotton swab, make a line through the middle of the paste
  • Apply concealer over it and blend it with the help of a makeup sponge
  • Paint the middle line with fake blood
  • Glue some pieces of plastic through the fake wound

6. Shirt in the Halloween mood

Things you’ll need:

  • A plastic folder
  • Shapes puncher or a cutter
  • Textile paint

How to do it:

  • Cut a piece of plastic from the folde
  • Make Halloween related hole shapes on the plastic
  • Place the piece of plastic on a shirt and paint over the shapes
  • Remove the plastic and you’ve got your Halloween outfit ready

7. Realistic paper cut

Things you’ll need:

  • Gel pens of these colors: Red, black and white

How to do it:

  • Draw a line on your hand with the red pen
  • Blend it, rubbing your finger over the line
  • Draw another red line over it and then, a black one
  • Draw soft white lines on the sides of the previous lines

8. Scary candle altar

Things you’ll need:

  • A pool noodle
  • A cutter
  • A hot glue gun
  • Black paint
  • An electric candle

How to do it:

  • Cut the noodle in half, with a diagonal cut
  • Take out part of the core
  • Pour some hot glue on the sides of the noodle
  • Paint with the black paint
  • Put an electric candle on top of the noodle
  • Make as many as you want to create your altar
