Besides being a popular ingredient, chicken can be a good choice if you want to consume a low-calorie, high-protein meal.

1. Chicken fillets stuffed with ham and cheese
Ingredients:
- Chicken breast fillets
- Flour
- Beaten eggs
- Breadcrumbs
- Cheese slices
- Ham slices
- Fresh cream
- Mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken breast fillets in half to open them.
- Dredge the fillets in the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. Make sure you do it in that order and coat them completely every time. Set them aside.
- Layer the cheese and ham slices on top of each other and cut into strips.
- Place the ham and cheese strips on the cuts of each fillet and pour crème fraîche over them.
- Add mozzarella cheese and bake in the oven at 350 ºF (180 ºC) for 40 minutes.
- Serve hot with vegetables or other side dishes.
2. Extra crispy chicken
Ingredients:
- 5 chicken drumsticks
- Beaten eggs
- Flour
- Breadcrumbs
- Cornflakes
- Oil
Instructions:
- Dredge the chicken legs in the flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs, in that particular order. Make sure you coat the chicken drumsticks completely.
- Dredge them again in the beaten eggs and cover with the cornflakes.
- Deep-fry in plenty of hot oil for 10 minutes.
- Serve with fresh greens or the sauces of your choice.
3. Chicken and cheddar cheese burgers
Ingredients:
- Ground chicken breast
- Eggs
- Chopped onion
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Cheddar cheese chunks
- Spices
- Thyme
- Oil
Instructions:
- Mix the ingredients, except the cheddar cheese, until everything’s well-mixed and then, with your hands, form medium-sized burger patties. Place them on a baking sheet, spaced apart.
- Place a piece of cheddar cheese at the center of each patty and seal them by pressing the sides together.
- Transfer to a skillet with hot oil and brown on both sides. Then cover until cooked through.
- Serve with au gratin potatoes and salad.
4. Barbecue chicken fillets
Ingredients:
- Chicken breast fillets
- 1 bag of French fries
- Barbecue sauce
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken fillet into small pieces.
- Put them in a bowl and add plenty of barbecue sauce. Stir well.
- Mash the contents of the bag of chips and spread on the chicken pieces until completely covered. Place them on a tray and bake.
- Serve hot with some more barbecue sauce.
5. Spiced chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken breast fillet
- Curry
- Paprika powder
- Oregano
- Salt
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken fillet into medium strips and join them with a skewer stick from one end.
- Season with plenty of curry, bell pepper powder, oregano, and salt.
- Place the skewers on the oven rack so that the chicken pieces are suspended. Cook for a few minutes.
- Serve hot with sauces or other seasonings.
6. Orange roast chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken
- Olive oil
- Garlic powder
- Paprika powder
- Onion
- Parsley
- Orange
- Salt
Instructions:
- Season the chicken with olive oil, garlic, paprika, parsley and salt in a slow cooker or baking dish.
- Add onion pieces and squeeze the juice of an orange over the chicken. Add the peels next to the chicken. Cook or bake until golden brown.
- Serve hot topped with fresh parsley.
7. Baked chicken with thyme potatoes
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken
- Small potatoes
- Fresh thyme
- Paprika powder
- Salt
Instructions:
- In a round pancake pan, place the potatoes along with the fresh thyme sprigs. Set aside.
- Season the chicken with salt and abundant paprika powder.
- Place in the center of the pan along with the potatoes and bake at 370 ºF (190 ºC) for 1 hour.
- Serve while still warm.
8. Chicken shawarma
Ingredients:
- 8 chicken breast fillets
- Natural yogurt
- Parsley
- Paprika powder
- Garlic powder or finely chopped garlic
- Thyme
- Pepper
- ½ onion
- 1 whole tomato
Instructions:
- Mix the natural yogurt with the parsley, paprika powder, garlic, thyme, and pepper in a bowl until you obtain a homogeneous paste.
- Spread the mixture on the chicken fillets and marinate for two hours.
- On a tray with baking paper, insert the half onion, the chicken fillets, and the whole tomato on a skewer stick.
- Bake at 390 ºF (200 ºC) for 2 hours.
- Cut the chicken into strips and serve in a tortilla along with fresh vegetables, such as cucumber, tomato, red onion, cabbage, and parsley, and serve with tzatziki sauce.
9. Chicken barbecue burger
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken breast fillet
- Barbecue sauce
- Hamburger bun
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Onion
- Sauces and condiments to taste
Instructions:
- Season and cook the chicken fillet in the oven or in a frying pan.
- Shred and pour plenty of barbecue sauce. Stir and marinate for one hour.
- Prepare the burger bun with chopped lettuce, tomato, and onion. Then add the chicken.
- Add other sauces of your choice and close the bun.
10. Pineapple chicken
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 pineapple
- Soy sauce
- Pineapple juice
- Brown sugar
- Garlic paste
- Ginger paste
Instructions:
- Cut the pineapple leaving a cube in the center and the peel at the bottom.
- Insert the cube into the bottom of the chicken and place a piece of peel on top. Use a steel skewer or similar to hold it in place.
- Prepare a dressing with soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, garlic paste, and ginger and season the chicken with a brush.
- Bake in the oven until cooked through and serve with salads to taste.
11. Waffles stuffed with chicken and cheddar cheese
Ingredients:
- 1 shredded chicken breast
- Grated cheddar cheese
- Tomato sauce
- Flour, egg, and milk dough
- Pepperoni
Instructions:
- Mix the chicken, cheddar cheese, and tomato sauce until everything is well-mixed. Set aside.
- Roll out the dough and shape it like a rectangle. Then make four cuts towards the center of the dough without joining them. Leave enough space between them.
- Pour the mixture over the dough avoiding the cuts. Add the pepperoni to the center of the dough.
- Fold the dough sheets from the sides to the center and add to the next one until completely joined.
- Transfer to a waffle iron and cook.
- Cut into triangles and serve.
