Steps:

Separate the crown of the pineapple by twisting the fruit.
Tear away the leaves from the stalk so that it exposes the base, and let it dry for a few days.
Keep the crown in a glass of water, making sure that the roots are submerged.
In a few days, you’ll be able to see the roots growing from the crown.
Remove the crown from the glass and shift it to a pot filled with soil. Water it daily.

Pineapples don’t grow in freezing temperatures as it is a tropical plant. If you live in colder regions, you may want to divide its time between your house and your garden.
The plant needs at least 6 hours of bright light, daily.
You can also keep the plant indoors by using proper fluorescent light tubes. Keep it under the light for 12 to 14 hours, daily.
