How to Cook Carne Al Pastor
Some people may think that carne al pastor is very complicated to make and that it requires a special frying pan to cook it, but it can actually be prepared very easily at home with very few ingredients in a regular frying pan.

Step 1: the meat

You will need:
- 2 lb (1 kg) of pork
- ¼ cup of soy sauce
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste

- Cut the pork into cubes and place them in a bowl.
- Add salt, pepper, and soy sauce.
- Let it rest for 30 minutes.
Step 2: the marinade

You will need:
- 3 guajillo peppers
- 3.5 oz (100 g) of achiote
- ¼ of a white onion
- 2 cloves of garlic
- ½ cup of vinegar
- ½ cup of orange juice
- 1½ tbsp of oregano
- A splash of vegetable oil

- Open and clean the guajillo peppers.
- Add a splash of oil to the skillet and put it over medium heat.
- Fry the guajillo peppers until they change a bit in color, then add the onion and garlic until golden brown. Remove it from the heat.

Pour the sauce into the blender and add the orange juice, achiote, and oregano.
- Blend until the ingredients are well incorporated.
Step 3: al pastor

You will need:
- ½ cup of vegetable oil
- ½ of a white onion, diced
- ½ of a pineapple, cut into cubes
- 1 sprig of coriander, chopped

- Add the blended mixture to the previously prepared meat.
- Place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Add the oil to a frying pan and heat over medium heat, then add the onion.

- Add the meat to the pan and leave it there until everything is cooked through.
- Remove it from the heat. Serve the meat on corn tortillas and enjoy with cilantro and pineapple.
