How to Cut a Pineapple
The pineapple is a healthy and fresh fruit that’s perfect to eat on any occasion and especially nice to serve to guests. 5-Minute Crafts will now show you 2 different ways to cut a pineapple — a quick version and a method that will impress your guests.
For this method, you’ll need one pineapple and a sharp knife.
Start by cutting off the top.
Then proceed to cut off the bottom of the pineapple.
Stand the pineapple up and slide the knife down the middle in 2 equal halves.
Take one of the halves. It’s time to remove the core of the pineapple since it isn’t edible. You can do it by slicing a knife down and inward, close to the edge of the core, until you can take the core out. Do it to both sides.
Do the same thing with the other half.
After removing the core, you then need to cut each half into 2 more halves as well — which are basically quarters.
Now you need to use your knife to cut in between the pineapple’s skin and the flesh to loosen up the pieces. Do it to both sides.
For the last step, you simply need to take the pineapple pieces and put them in a bowl.
For this method, you’ll need a pineapple slicer that’s the same size as your fruit and one pineapple.
Cut off the bottom of the pineapple.
Place the appropriately sized slicer tool (it should be close to the size of your pineapple) in the middle of the fruit. Start twisting the tool until you reach the end, and pull the tool back to remove the slices.
After you remove the flesh completely, cut off the top of the pineapple.
Put the skin of the fruit back over the flesh that’s on the slicer.
Put the top back on the pineapple.
Lay the pineapple down on its side and open it all up.
Attach the bottom of the pineapple with some cocktail sticks.
Take the pineapple and place it on a surface to serve.
