How to Make a Vegetarian Stew

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of chopped potatoes

  • 2 cups chopped carrots

  • 2 cups of chopped celery

  • 2 cups of vegetable broth

  • 6 large whole white button mushrooms

  • 1 ½ cups of green peas

  • 1 cup of chopped onions

  • 1 cup of chopped bell peppers

  • 2 tbsp of tomato paste

  • ¼ cup of flour

  • 1 tsp of garlic powder (optional)

  • 2 tbsp of soy sauce (optional)

  • 3 bay leaves

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

1. In a pot, cook the mushrooms, celery, and carrots using a drizzle of oil.

2. Add the garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.

3. Add the tomato paste.

4. Add the peas and soy sauce.

5. Add flour, bell peppers, and potatoes.

6. Pour in the vegetable broth. Mix all the ingredients.

7. Cover the pot. Cook over low heat for 45 minutes.

8. After that, the stew will be ready. If you like it thick, remove the lid and cook it for another 5 minutes.
