How to Make Breaded Chicken Cutlets (2 Recipes)

Chicken cutlets are a quick, cheap, and delicious option for any meal. With just a few ingredients you can prepare them by coating them in flour or breadcrumbs in no time.

1. With breadcrumbs

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast (cut in half)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 ½ cups of breadcrumbs

  • Salt to taste

  • Pepper to taste

  • 1 cup of oil

Preparation

  1. Put the egg in a bowl and whisk using a fork.

  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Put the breadcrumbs in a container large enough to be able to work comfortably.

4. Dip each breast in the egg bowl and flip it in order to coat both sides.

5. Coat the cutlet with the breadcrumbs.

6. Heat the skillet at medium-high and pour in the oil.

7. Fry the chicken at low heat and flip it once it turns golden-brown.

8. Remove from the skillet and soak up the oil using a paper towel.

9. Serve it with any side dish of your choice.

2. With flour

Ingredients

  • 1 chicken breast (cut in half)

  • 1 egg

  • 1 ½ cups of breadcrumbs

  • ¾ cup of all-purpose flour

  • Salt to taste

  • Pepper to taste

  • 1 cup of oil

Preparation

  1. Beat the egg.

  2. Season the breadcrumbs with salt and pepper.

  3. Mix with a spoon until all ingredients are well-integrated.

4. Coat the chicken in the flour, pressing down on both sides.

5. Dip the chicken in the beaten egg and flip it a couple of times.

6. Finally, hold the chicken breast by the tip and coat it in the seasoned breadcrumbs.

7. Heat the skillet to medium-high and, once it’s hot, lower the heat and fry the chicken.

8. Once it’s golden-brown on both sides, remove it from the skillet and place it on a paper towel.

9. You can serve it with any side dish you like.
