How to Make Christmas Cookies in Soft Silicone Molds

Christmas-style cookies are a perfect addition to a festive tea party. The aroma that fills your house during baking creates a special comfortable atmosphere. Besides, you can invite your children to be a part of the baking and decorating process.

5-Minute Crafts would like to share a few simple recipes, for how to make Christmas cookies in soft silicone molds, with you.

Recipe 1: Butter cookies

You will need:

  • 4 eggs
  • 7 ounces of sugar
  • 1 tsp of vanilla sugar
  • 100 ounces of flour
  • 8.5 ounces of butter
  • sugar pencils
  • various confectionary toppings
  • Christmas-style silicone molds

1. Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla sugar.

2. Add flour. Flour must be added exactly at this stage to prevent lumps from forming in the dough during the following stages. Knead the dough until it’s fairly stiff.

3. Melt the butter and add it to the dough. Mix the ingredients well.

4. Put the dough in the silicone molds, lightly greased with butter. Don’t fill the molds up to the brim — the cookies will increase in size during baking.

5. Bake cookies in a preheated oven at 390°F for 15 to 20 minutes until they become golden brown (baking time depends on the size of the molds).

6. Ice cookies with sugar pencils and decorate them with colorful toppings.

7. Bon appetite!

Recipe 2: Honey ginger cookies

You will need:

  • 2 cups of flour
  • 0.5 tsp of ground ginger
  • 0.5 tsp of baking soda
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp of honey
  • 8.5 ounces of water
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • sugar pencils
  • various confectionary toppings

Take the butter out of the fridge before cooking so that it has enough time to become soft.

1. Mix all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl: flour, ginger, baking soda, and sugar.

2. Mix the butter with the dry ingredients to get a smooth mass.

3. Beat an egg, add honey and water to it. Beat the mixture again.

4 and 5. Pour the resulting mixture into the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

6. Preheat the oven to 390°F. Prepare the silicone mold and grease it with butter. Put the dough into the mold (fill the mold no more than 1/3 of the way), place it in the oven, and bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes until they become deep brown.

7. Ice the cookies with sugar pencils and decorate them with colorful toppings.

8. Bon appetite!
