All ingredients should be at room temperature, so take them out of the fridge approximately 1 hour before the cooking starts.
The cooking process
- Put butter, eggs, yeast powder, flour, sugar, salt, and milk into the bowl. Mix them and make the dough.
- If you use a planetary mixer, it’s convenient to mix all the ingredients at once.
- If you have a hand mixer, mix the sugar and butter first, then add the eggs, salt, milk, yeast, and powder, and gradually add flour at the end. This will make the dough smoother.
-
Knead the dough.
-
Now gather the ingredients for the filling.
- Use butter at room temperature. It should be a bit soft but not runny.
-
Put butter, sugar, and cinnamon into the bowl.
-
Mix the ingredients with the mixer.
-
Make the mass smooth. Make sure that the sugar doesn’t melt. It will melt in the oven during baking.
- Put the dough on a floured, clean, dry surface.
- Sprinkle a little flour on the rolling pin too.
-
Roll out the dough to make it about 0.2 inches thick.
-
Put the filling on the dough.
-
Spread the filling over the dough as evenly as possible. It will be best to use a silicone spatula.
-
Roll the dough.
-
Cut the roll into equally wide pieces.
-
Grease the mold with butter, then sprinkle it with flour.
- Before placing the baking mold in the oven, cover the rolls with a towel and leave them in a warm place for 30 to 40 minutes to allow the dough to rise.
- Bake the rolls in the oven, which should have been preheated to 390°F for 10 to 15 minutes, until they are lightly brown.
-
While the rolls are baking, make the icing.
-
Mix sugar, butter, cream cheese, and salt thoroughly with the mixer.
-
Make sure that the ready-made rolls grew in size and became lightly brown.
-
Put the icing on the rolls as soon as you take them out of the oven. They must be hot.
- You can store the cinnamon rolls for 2 to 3 days, just be sure to cover them with plastic wrap.
- Serve the rolls warm.
