5-Minute Crafts wants to share a classic and easy-to-prepare recipe with you that is fail-proof.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (200 g) of butter at room temperature
  • 1 cup (200 g) of white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 ⅔ cups (250 g) of all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp of salt
  • 2 tsp of vanilla extract

Step 1

  • In a large bowl, pour the butter together with the sugar and, with the help of an electric mixer, beat the ingredients until the mixture becomes fluffy and light in color. On average, this process takes about 5 minutes. If you don’t have an electric mixer, you can just use a spoon, but it will take longer.

Step 2

  • Add the egg and vanilla to the mixture and beat it again to combine the ingredients. Keep stirring until everything is combined well.

Step 3

  • On a different plate, add the salt to the flour and stir it well.

Step 4

  • Add the flour mixture with salt to the bowl and keep beating it at a low speed so that all the ingredients are well incorporated. Use plastic wrap to cover the bowl with the dough and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.

Step 5

  • Preheat the oven to 390ºF (200°C) for about 10 minutes. Cover the baking sheet with a silicone mat or wax paper. To actually make the cookies, the most practical way is to use a cake piping bag. Fill the piping bag with the dough and place the cookies on an ungreased baking sheet. Make sure the cookies are separated from each other.

Step 6

  • Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes. Once they turn golden brown around the edges, remove the tray from the oven and transfer the cookies to a wire rack. Let them cool there for a while, and then you can enjoy this royal treat.
