3. Threading
Things you’ll need:
- Sewing thread
- A pair of scissors
Steps:
- Cut a piece of thread that should be the length of your forearm plus about 3 extra inches. The shorter the thread, the more control you have.
- Bring the ends of the thread together.
- Tie them firmly to create a loop.
- Cut away any extra thread that’s not part of the loop.
- Twist the thread loop in the middle by putting your hands on both sides of the loop and your palms up, rotating your hands a few times to create an intertwined thread in the middle.
- To test the thread, hold it with your index and thumb on both sides and increase the gap between the right index and thumb with the twisted threads moving to the left. Repeat the step for the left side.
- This is the threading motion that will remove your hair from your upper lip.
- Now start threading in the opposite direction of your hair growth.
- Try not to move around a lot while threading as to avoid cuts.
