How to Clean a Hair Straightener

With time, hair straighteners tend to collect the leftovers of styling products, dust, and dirt. This can affect how well the device works or simply make using it an unpleasant experience.

5-Minute Crafts is showing you a simple way to clean a hair straightener with the help of baking soda.

Utensils

You’ll need:

3 tbsp of baking soda

A cup of pure, filtered water

An old toothbrush

A napkin

A tablespoon

A bowl

Step-by-step instructions

What to do:

1. Mix 3 tbsp of baking soda with a cup of clean water in a bowl. Mix well.

2. Make sure the device is unplugged and cooled down after the last use. After, apply the paste to the surface of the hair straightener using a toothbrush.

3. Thoroughly cover the surface of the hair straightener with the brush.

4. Wipe it with a clean fabric napkin, and let it dry.
