How to Do Halloween Makeup: 8 Spooky Ideas
Halloween is a perfect time to turn yourself into some mysterious and fawning creature. And while the costume is important, the right makeup will make the whole look really unique. 5-Minute Crafts has prepared 8 cool ideas that will make you the center of attention at any Halloween party.
1. Zombie mermaid makeup look
How to do it:
Step 1: Put your hair in a ponytail. Take a fishnet stocking and put it on your head and face.
Step 2: Take blue eyeshadow of a darker hue and apply it to your cheeks with the help of a makeup brush.
Step 3: Apply this blue eyeshadow to your forehead.
Step 4: Take an eyeshadow of a lighter blue hue and apply it above your eyebrows. Then apply some of it to your temples and your cheekbones.
Step 5: Apply some of the lighter blue eyeshadow to the bridge of your nose and along your jawline.
Step 6: Take an eyeshadow of a lighter purple color and apply it to the hollows of your cheeks and on your forehead, right above the darker blue eyeshadow.
Step 7: Take an eyeshadow of a darker purple color and apply it to the hollows of your cheeks and on your forehead, right next to the hairline.
Step 8: Remove the stocking. The final result should look like picture 8.
Step 9: Apply some purple and pink eyeshadow to your upper and lower eyelids and under the browbone. Blend everything out.

2. Pop art makeup look
How to do it:
Step 1: With the help of red lipstick, draw polka dots all around your face.
Step 2: Apply some red lipstick to your lips as well.
Step 3: Use black eyeliner to draw a contour around your lips and create shadows on them.
Step 4: Apply black eyeliner to your eyebrows.
Step 5: Use black eyeliner to draw shadows on your cheeks.

3. Glitter skin makeup look
How to do it:
Step 1: Use black eyeliner to draw a line across your face. Start from the right corner of your forehead and move across your nose, all the way to your left cheekbone.
Step 2: Use face paint to color your face under the black line.
Step 3: Apply some glitter onto the paint.
Step 4: Use black eyeshadow to draw skin cracks above the black line. Add a colorful wig. The final result should look like picture 4.
4. Dark princess makeup look
How to do it:
Step 1: Use non-toxic school glue to block your eyebrows out.
Step 2: Brush the hairs back.
Step 3: Apply white fixing powder to your blocked-out, brushed eyebrows.
Step 4: Apply concealer in the color of your skin tone to your eyebrows.
Step 5: Apply black eyeshadow to your upper eyelids.
Step 6: Apply black eyeshadow to your lower eyelids.
Step 7: Apply fake gemstones to your face (use a special cosmetic adhesive to keep them in place).
Step 8: Apply body paint on the lower part of your face, neck, shoulders, and chest, like it’s shown in picture 8.
Step 9: Apply some glitter to your lips.

5. Skeleton makeup look
How to do it:
Step 1: Cover your face with white body paint. With the help of a brush, draw a straight line in the middle of your chest and neck.
Step 2: On this straight line, draw out vertebrae and ribs.
Step 3: Draw out collarbones.
Step 4: Draw out black circles around your eyes and apply some black paint to the tip of your nose.
Step 5: Use a grip of a spoon to help you draw out straight lines on your cheeks.
Step 6: Draw 2 straight lines along your cheeks, starting from the corners of your lips.
Step 7: With the help of a thin brush, draw out the teeth above and beneath this straight line.
Step 8: Use black eyeshadow to add some more shadows and cracks around your head and body. Apply it to your chest and areas like the forehead, cheeks, chin, and around your lips. The final result should look like picture 8.

6. River dweller makeup look
How to do it:
Step 1: Apply some modeling wax to the left side of your face, avoiding your eye.
Step 2: Stick oatmeal or granola onto the modeling wax.
Step 3: Starting between your eyebrows, insert a popsicle stick under the modeling wax to create a crack there.
Step 4: Create a crack along the bridge of your nose and on its tip too.
Step 5: Apply some dark and light green face paint to the oatmeal or granola.
Step 6: Use brown face paint to draw out skin cracks on the right part of your face, along the crack, made in the modeling wax.
Step 7: Use a sponge to apply some black paint on top of the colored oatmeal or granola.
Step 8: Apply some paint to your teeth. Use a colorful wig. The final result should look like picture 8.
7. Mossy forest elf makeup look
How to do it:
Step 1: Use a glue gun to create round and flat beads of different sizes. Use a special cosmetic adhesive to apply some of them to the corner of your right eyebrow, under your left eye, and next to the corner of your left lip.
Step 2: Apply some darker and lighter green body paint around the glue beads.
Step 3: Apply some green eyeshadow to your eyelids.
Step 4: Use a special cosmetic adhesive to apply a small plastic leaf at the corner of your left eye.
Step 5: Use a special cosmetic adhesive to apply fake moss to your right cheek.
Step 6: Apply more fake moss under your chin, neck, and to your left shoulder.
Step 7: Use black body paint to draw thin cracks around the glue beads.
Step 8: Add some more plastic plants to your hair. The final result should look like it’s shown in picture 8.
8. Dark rag doll makeup look
How to do it:
Step 1: Apply some blush to your cheeks and to your nose.
Step 2: Use dark brown eyeshadow and an applicator for false lashes to draw fake freckles on top of the blush.
Step 3: Apply matte pink lipstick to your lips.
Step 4: Using a black eye pencil, start at the right corner of your lip and draw a straight line on your right cheek. Draw small perpendicular lines to create an illusion of the stitches.
Step 5: Take a piece of a simple white napkin and place it onto your left cheek. Use a makeup sponge to apply some liquid latex onto the napkin. Let it dry and tear the napkin in the middle to create the effect of torn skin.
Step 6: Apply some concealer to make everything match your skin color.
Step 7: Rip the edges of the napkin a bit more to create a bigger hole.
Step 8: With the help of an ear swab, apply some more liquid latex inside the torn napkin.
Step 9: Add some cotton wool inside the torn napkin. Liquid latex will help to hold it in place.
Step 10: Apply mascara to your eyelashes and use black eye lenses. Cover your left eye with a big black button. Use a colorful wig. The final result should look like picture 10.
