How to Style Your Beard

There are a lot of beard styles out there, and it’s not always easy choosing one. It might also be important to keep in mind how long you’d like it, and other factors to help maintain it. With that in mind, 5-Minute Crafts has prepared a guide for you.

1. The 5 o’clock shadow

It’s a short, stubble beard that you can achieve by growing it for 2 to 5 days, depending on how dark it is. Use an electric razor to trim it when you need to.

2. Chevron

This one works best with oval face shapes. The chevron is a mustache that covers your entire top lip. This is not to be confused with the original mustache, as that style is trimmed and stays just above the top lip.

3. Circle beard

The circle beard combines a goatee with a mustache. It’s both neat and clean, which can suit a business person. You might have to keep it trimmed since it’s best worn short.

4. Corporate beard

You’ll need to have it around 2 to 3 inches long. Depending on someone’s genetics, they might have their beard slightly patchy at this length. Although, once you have it — you may need an electric trimmer to keep it tidy and at the desired length.

5. Mutton chop beard

This is a beard style that’ll require your sides to be longer than the bottom. It comes from the sideburns and connects to the mustache.

6. Beardstache

This one is a combination of a shorter overall beard length with a longer mustache. You’ll need to keep it that way in order to maintain the look, otherwise, it might just look like a full beard.

7. Chin strap beard

You’ll need to shave everything except the line that follows your chin and keep it that way. For the beard length, you can decide what to keep.

8. Short boxed beard

You might need 2 or 3 months of growth for this one. The goal is to create a box-shaped beard. Think of the corporate beard length but with a little more around the chin. Afterward, take your electric razor and follow a box shape. It helps to use the number 4 guard on the chin area and the number 3 on the cheeks and mustache.
