8 Cool DIY toys you can make at home without spending much

1. Reversible toy

Things you’ll need:

  • Foamyrans
  • A hot glue gun
  • A cutter

How to do it:

  • Place two foamyran sheets on top of each other and on a flat surface
  • Draw a cross with curved corners on them
  • Cut the cross off with the cutter
  • Glue the foamy sheets together
  • Stick the edges of the cross together as well. That’ll be the head of the toy
  • Make eyes with black and white foamy and stick them to the head
  • Cut a curved double-sided foamy base for the head, and glue them together

2. DIY Gumball machine

Things you’ll need:

  • A paper cup
  • A plastic bottle
  • A cutter
  • Paint
  • A bead ball

How to do it:

  • Cut off the bottom of the cup
  • Make a hole on the side of the cup and a cut off a line above it
  • Paint the cup with your preferred paint color
  • Cut the bottle in half
  • Cut the bottom of the bottle vertically
  • Insert the long plastic piece in the cup, through the narrower end
  • With the bead and a piece of plastic, make a lifting door
  • Put half of the bottle that was left on the cup
  • Fill it with candies and enjoy your toy

3. Squishy toy

Things you’ll need:

  • An egg lip balm
  • Slime
  • Glitter
  • A balloon

How to do it:

  • Take all the balm out of the container
  • Pour some slime on a flat surface and then add glitter to it
  • Fold the slime in and make a ball with it
  • Cut the top of the balloon off and put the slime inside the balloon left
  • Put the slime balloon inside the balm container

4. Squirrel cups

Things you’ll need:

  • A toilet paper tube
  • Velvet paper
  • A balloon
  • A marker

How to do it:

  • Wrap the paper tube with the velvet paper
  • Draw some irregular lines on the tube, with the marker
  • Blow up a balloon with little air
  • Put the balloon inside the tube and squeeze the tube from the bottom

5. Water glittery bag

Things you’ll need:

  • Clear liquid soap
  • Blue and gold glitter leaves
  • Slime filler
  • A zip pack

How to do it:

  • Fill the zip bag with the soap, glitter and slime
  • Seal the bag and fold it in several times

6. Colorful bracelets

Things you’ll need:

  • A PVC tube
  • Glitter
  • Baby oil

How to do it

  • Fill the tube with glitter and baby oil
  • Make a circle with the tube and close it with the other edge

7. Gummy shapes

Things you’ll need:

  • Water
  • Gelatin
  • Colorant
  • Silicone molds

How to do it:

  • Mix the water, gelatin and colorant in a bowl
  • Pour the mix into the silicone molds and refrigerate

8. Pimple popping on a notebook

Things you’ll need:

  • A notebook
  • Bubble wrap
  • School glue
  • Colorant
  • A syringe
  • Foam balls

How to do it:

  • Stick some bubble wrap to the cover of the notebook
  • In a bowl, mix school glue and colorants
  • Take some of the mix with the syringe and inject it to the bubbles on the notebook cover
  • Put a foam ball in each bubble and play popping pimples
