Start by setting up the right limit of daily technology use and screen time so the amount of time they spend on a device is healthy:

18 months or younger: not recommended.
18 to 24 months: If you want to introduce technology to your kids’ life, your can start to do so but limit it as much as you can.
2 to 5 years: 1 hour per day.
6 to 12 years: Place consistent time limits. Make sure media doesn’t use up sleeping time, physical activity, or other behaviors essential to their health.
12 years and older: Make sure to create media free time likes dinner and driving so you still limit their daily usage. Create technology free zones.
