Yellow leaves and delicious sweet pumpkins — yes, fall is here! The weather may be getting colder but this time of the year can make you feel warmer inside. And to make your home cozy and pleasant, 5-Minute Crafts will share 4 ways to make your lovely home smell like an autumn delight.

1. Gingerbread simmering pot

You will need:

  • 4 pieces of ginger
  • 2 apples sliced in half
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp of pure almond extract

  3. Add the ingredients listed above.
  4. Lower the heat to simmer (around 180 to 190 degrees).

Simmering should last from 2 to 3 hours, just be sure to check there is enough water in the pot. Add a cup or 2 if the water level gets too low. A simmer pot can last up to 4 days and you can always add a small amount of water while reheating it.
