How to Be Comfortable on an Airplane Trip
Feeling comfortable while on a plane is already a great start to any trip, whether that means extra neck comfort or more warmth during the ride. With that in mind, 5-Minute Crafts has 6 tips on how you can do this with ease.
1. Dress in layers.
The temperature on planes may vary, so it’s good to have the option to either take some layers of clothing off or put some more on. They can also serve as extra back or neck support during your flight.
2. Cancel out the noise.
A pair of earplugs will do your trip wonders. It not only can block out conversations other people are having but also any other sort of noise that’s preventing you from taking a nap in absolute silence.
3. Drink a lot of water.
The air inside the airplane is drier than in our usual environments. Because of this, it’s important to stay hydrated. Drink water instead of coffee or other drinks.
4. Wear an eye mask.
Darkness usually means we’ll sleep better and be more relaxed. However, this isn’t always possible inside a plane. Bring an eye mask with you and put it on whenever you want to fall asleep.
5. Have a blanket with you.
A travel blanket can not only keep you warm, but it also doubles as extra support for either your neck or back. They come in handy at times, and they’re easy to pack.
6. Bring a comfortable travel pillow.
A memory foam or inflatable pillow will be ideal to support your neck. It should also be made of good fabric. Make sure it doesn’t irritate your skin and that it doesn’t get too hot or too cold (cotton and smooth plastics are good for hot climates, and fleece for cold ones).
Lastly, think about its size and weight because you might not have enough space to store it in your bags.
