When did dog breeds first appear?
Actually, most dog breeds that we see today appeared in the last 150 years. It happens due to the fact that dog breeding just recently expanded and, as a result, today we have a lot of recognizable breeds of dogs. At the same time, many scientists agree that modern dogs are just domesticated wolves. Studies suggest that it happened between 12,500 and 15,000 years ago, or maybe even earlier.
