How to Easily Paint Beautiful Flowers Like a Professional Artist

Today, we will show you some easy painting ideas that anyone can do, along with some cool painting tricks and hacks. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this easy technic will help you create stunning artwork that will impress your friends and family.

1. Leaves

You will need:

  • Paper or canvas
  • Flat brushes
  • Acrylic paints

How to do it:

  • Place it on the paper, and without lifting it from the paper, create a triangle by making small zigzag movements with the brush.
  • Wet the brush again in the paint and repeat.
  • For small leaves, three triangles will be sufficient; for larger leaves, use five.
  • As a final detail, draw a solid-colored line from the center of the leaf outward to mark the stem.

2. Freesias

You will need:

  • Paper or canvas
  • Flat brushes
  • Acrylic paints

How to do it:

  • Dip the brush in two paint colors, press it onto the paper, and glide it downward while gradually lifting the brush off the paper to create a thinner stroke at the bottom.
  • Repeat this process, starting at the sides of the first stroke but ending at the same point.
  • Five or six leaves will be sufficient, ensuring that all of them terminate at approximately the same point at the bottom.
  • Add some small green leaves at the bottom and the stem as a final touch.

3. Carnations

You will need:

  • Paper or canvas
  • Flat brushes
  • Acrylic paints

How to do it:

  • Continuing with the same technique, we will start by creating the center of the flower, painting four small curved lines, one in each direction, curving outward.
  • Next, we will draw above these curved lines, creating four wavy lines from the middle of the first set to the middle of the next set.
  • Repeat this process once more, creating a third layer from the middle of the petals of the second set to the middle of the next set.

4. Lilies

You will need:

  • Paper or canvas
  • Flat brushes
  • Acrylic paints

How to do it:

  • Dip the brush into two colors, place it on the paper, and draw a small curve by making wavy movements with the brush.
  • Extend two strokes upward to create a triangular shape, rotating the brush during the second stroke so that the colors match in the center.
  • Similarly, draw five elongated leaves, always rotating the brush during the second stroke to align the central colors.
  • As a final detail, add the stem and one or more leaves.

5. Violets

You will need:

  • Paper or canvas
  • Flat brushes
  • Acrylic paints

How to do it:

  • Dip the brush into two colors, place it on the paper, and draw a petal by making a small circular movement with the brush.
  • Repeat this step six times, drawing one petal next to another until the flower is complete.
  • Create as many flowers as you like, placing them next to each other without overcrowding.
  • When you have finished, dip the back of the brush into a light color and place a dot in the center of each flower.
  • Finally, create some leaves by drawing an upper line of small zigzags and rotating the brush to draw the lower line, ensuring that the colors match in the center.

6. Roses

You will need:

  • Paper or canvas
  • Flat brushes
  • Acrylic paints

How to do it:

  • In this case, we’ll start by creating the upper outline, drawing four curved lines with wavy brush movements.
  • Next, partially overlapping these lines, we’ll draw another set of curved lines with wavy brush movements from the center of the previous ones to the center of the next one.
  • We will continue adding layers in the same way until the center of the flower is completely covered.
  • As a final touch, add some highlights in the center and on the edges of the outer petals.
