Parts of a banana

Every banana is covered with skin (peel) that protects the tender flesh inside. The stem is at the top. It’s used to connect the banana with other bananas in the “bunch.” The banana expands and curves from the stem to the brown tip at the bottom. The tip is the remnant from whence the banana fruit was a banana flower.
