How to Remove Makeup Stains

It’s quite easy to remove nail polish from a table, lipstick from a blouse, or foundation from a white T-shirt if you know a few tricks.

At 5-Minute Crafts, we’d like to share a few effective methods with you. In the bonus section, we’ll tell you what to do if your lipstick paints your teeth.

Method 1

1️⃣ If you get stained with foundation, try using shaving foam.
2️⃣ Apply it to the stain. Use a toothbrush to spread the foam over the stain. Remove excess foam with a tissue and wash the item as usual.

Method 2

1️⃣ If your makeup left marks on a shirt, take rubbing alcohol and cotton pads. This method is suitable for white cotton garments.
2️⃣ Apply rubbing alcohol to the stain and blot it gently without rubbing. Wash your clothes as usual.

Method 3

1️⃣ If you’ve spilled nail polish, act quickly.
2️⃣ Pour sugar or salt on the stain generously. Shake off the sugar or salt along with the nail polish.

Method 4

1️⃣ If you get lipstick on your shirt, try using a hairspray that contains alcohol to remove the stain.
2️⃣ Spray the hairspray directly onto the stain and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes.
3️⃣ Blot the stain with a damp cloth.
4️⃣ If necessary, wash the item in the usual way.

Method 5

1️⃣ This is quite an original way to get rid of a stain if you can’t wash it off. Take a piece of lace fabric and a can of fabric spray paint.
2️⃣ Place the fabric down with the stained side up.
3️⃣ Spray the paint.
4️⃣ Remove the lace fabric.

Bonus: how to prevent lipstick from painting your teeth
