16 Cool Designs That Aren’t Actually Helpful
Some designs are gorgeous, some are practical, and others are just plain common. How well something is created and decorated can really play a part in how we feel in a certain space, something that is well-made makes us feel comfortable and nice, and the opposite is also true.
But there’s another category, there can be a piece that’s really cool looking, but when you actually give it a thought and a second look, it doesn’t work practically.
5-Minute Crafts has put together some of these that, while awesome, will probably cause more headaches than they solve.
1. These “freezer window panels with screens that constantly flash and don’t even accurately represent what’s inside the fridge”
2. “These sinks look fancy but will splash all over you and the mirror.”
3. “This notebook that is ’E’ shaped”
4. “Apartment hunting when... pebble river”
5. This table might be an elbows biggest fear.
6. A cool shelf that doesn’t really fit anything substantial
7. This solar bench with USB seems like a cool idea until someone sits on it and covers the solar panels.
8. “Let’s play guess which one is a faucet. I saw 3 guys in a row guess wrong. I was one of them.”
9.“All the drinking glasses in this restaurant are slanted.”
10. This is a cool idea for a handrail, but it doesn’t even reach the bottom of the stairs.
11. Imagine having to clean this.
12. Great if you want a very realistic-looking cutting board... and food stuck in every hole.
13. A gorgeous speaker, but it’s better not to get anything stuck in there — “That moth has been in there for 3 years.”
14. A true statement piece for a room, but it will require equally incredible cleaning.
15. Besides the dust problem, it’s probably best to not lean on it or walk too closely if your clothes tend to get stuck on stuff.
16. “These urinals where you can look out to the street but the windows aren’t tinted at all so you can also see in. Even has a sink on top of each one.”
