10 Celebrities Who Have Refused to Get Plastic Surgery and Decided to Age Naturally

It’s no secret that many celebrities in the entertainment industry have gone under the knife either to hide traces of aging or to change something they didn’t like about their appearance. However, some stars have spoken out against plastic surgery and have decided to stay as real as possible to themselves and their audience.

Today, we will show you 10 female celebrities who have ditched plastic surgery and share their opinions on the topic.

1. Salma Hayek

Although the Wild Wild West star has been accused of receiving Botox on her Instagram account, she has spoken out about how she feels about cosmetic surgery by stating that she has never gone through such procedures. “No surgical tweaks. No Botox either. I think it’s terrible, these girls in their late twenties injecting their faces and lips. One told me, ’If I kill my muscles now, I’ll never get wrinkles.’ Can you imagine?” she said in an interview.

2. Julia Roberts

The acclaimed Pretty Woman star has been very open about her decision to stay true to herself in front of the mirror and stick to her natural beauty. In an interview, she confessed that she’s against the idea of going under the knife while also addressing the cosmetic surgery trend in Hollywood. “It’s unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don’t even give themselves a chance to see what they’ll look like as older people. I want to have some idea of what I’ll look like before I start cleaning the slates. Your face tells a story...and it shouldn’t be a story about your drive to the doctor’s office,” she said.

3. Kate Winslet

The Titanic leading lady revealed that she has never received cosmetic surgery, stating, “It goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty. I will never give in.” In the same interview, she also added that she doesn’t want cosmetic procedures to affect her role as an actress. “I am an actress, I don’t want to freeze the expression on my face,” she confessed.

As for her beauty routine, Winslet said that staying hydrated is key. “My top tip would be water — water, water, water. Keep the body hydrated and the skin will follow suit.”

4. Halle Berry

When talking about plastic surgery, Halle Berry has admitted that she has been pressured to undergo cosmetic procedures. “When you see everybody around you doing it, you have those moments when you think, ’To stay alive in this business, do I need to do the same thing?” she confessed. However, the Catwoman star has preferred to resist the urge to do it and has decided to preserve her natural beauty by embracing the way she looks. “Aging is natural, and that’s going to happen to all of us. I just want to always look like myself, even if that’s an older version of myself. I think when you do too much of that cosmetic stuff, you become somebody else in a way,” she stated in an interview.

5. Jodie Foster

The actress has explained why cosmetic procedures aren’t for her, although she’s not against other people getting them. “Whatever they want to do, I’m fine with it. For me, it’s really a self-image thing. Like, I’d rather have somebody go, ’Wow, that girl has a bad nose’ than ’Wow, that girl has a bad nose job.’” To conclude her views on plastic surgery, she also added, “I’d rather have a comment about who I am than about something that identifies me as being ashamed of who I am.

6. Emma Thompson

The acclaimed Hollywood actress has not been afraid to talk about her strong feelings against cosmetic procedures, which have remained the same since she was younger. In an interview, she reflected on the topic by saying, “Why would you do that to yourself? I simply don’t understand. I do honestly think the cutting of yourself off to put it in another place in order to avoid appearing to do what you’re actually doing, which is aging, which is completely natural, is a form of collective psychosis. I really do think it’s a very strange thing to do.”

7. Cate Blanchett

In an interview, the Australian actress revealed that she will never get any cosmetic procedures done. “There’s been a decade or so of people doing intervention with their face and their body. Now that we’re emerging from that, people are seeing that long-term it’s not so great,” she said.

Although she doesn’t judge those who are willing to go under the knife, she explained that such cosmetic alterations aren’t her thing. “I’d just be too frightened about what it means long term. In the end, if you have all that stuff done...you just see the work. It doesn’t fill me with admiration — it fills me with pity,” Blanchett said.

8. Andie MacDowell

Although the Maid actress has revealed that she has been open to the idea of getting plastic surgery, she has declined the option by leaning into her natural appearance. While she has confessed that aging has been a process for her, the beloved star is willing to embrace the future as it comes. “It’s a journey, but you can’t go back in time. I don’t want to pretend to be what I’m not and have never been ashamed of my age. I want to be positive about right where I am at each stage of my life,” she said in an interview.

9. Meryl Streep

Apparently, the acclaimed Hollywood actress is against getting cosmetic surgery, as she has seen it go wrong for many of those who work with her in the entertainment business. In an interview, she opened up about the topic by saying, “When I see it in people I meet, it’s like an interruption in communication with them. It’s like a flag in front of the view, and that, for an actor, is like wearing a veil — it’s not a good thing.”

At the same time, she has reflected on how important it is to embrace the gift of becoming old. “You’d be amazed at how many men in this industry have gone down that road [of getting plastic surgery]. I just don’t get it. You have to embrace getting older. Life is precious, and when you’ve lost a lot of people, you realize each day is a gift,” she said in a different interview.

10. Julianne Moore

The Oscar winner has been honest about her feelings regarding cosmetic procedures by stating, “I hate to condemn people for doing it, but I don’t believe it makes people look better.” At the same time, she has claimed that she has accepted that aging is just a part of life by questioning the phrase “aging gracefully.” In an interview, Moore explained further, “Is there an ungraceful way to age? We don’t have an option, of course. No one has an option about aging, so it’s not a positive or a negative thing, it just is.
