11 Superhero Movie Posters With Legendary Photoshop Mistakes

People with extremely long arms and fingers, ladies with unbelievably thin waists, and superheroes beating the laws of physics — there are plenty of funny and weird details to spot on movie posters.

5-Minute Crafts has compiled superhero movie posters with Photoshop mistakes as epic as their main characters.

Spider-Man 2

This is old but gold. This well-known poster for Spider-Man 2 deserves a closer look. The arms of the characters raised some questions: Kirsten Dunst’s limb is exceptionally long, and Tobey Maguire’s bicep is quite disproportional.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 poster shows us Andrew Garfield defying the laws of physics. No one doubts Spidey’s superpowers, but his location on the side of a building brings up a few questions. If you flip the image so that the houses in the city stand up, as expected, it becomes clear that the hero ignored gravity. Sitting at such an angle, he would definitely fall down.

Another poster for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 repeats its predecessor. Mary Jane has the same proportional issues as on the Spider-man 2 poster. Her forearm is too long for an average human.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Steve Rogers is trying to find his place in the modern world, facing numerous moral dilemmas.

But the poster designer seemed to reject all hesitations: The pic is full of classic movie Photoshopping tricks. Anthony Mackie’s body also underwent serious modifications, as his chest became weirdly big, while the legs and the waist went slim.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

While Peter Parking is trying to balance his life as an average student with the abilities of a superhero, the poster of the Spider-Man: Homecoming is completely unbalanced.

The right side of the image is overloaded with characters and special effects. Plenty of huge sparks fly out of nowhere, hiding the details of the picture from our view. 2 completely different cityscapes illogically collide with each other. If you look closely at Zendaya, you can see remnants of the green screen in her hair.

X-Men: First Class

X-Men: First Class is a prequel film about young Charles Xavier discovering his powers for the first time. This poster was designed to connect the 2 versions of the character. That is why James McAvoy’s head is unexpectedly peeking from the silhouette of a more adult incarnation of Professor X. The inexplicable crop enhances the awkwardness.

Thor: The Dark World

The creators of Thor: The Dark World were so in love with the characters that they decided to fit the whole team into one poster.

The Dark Elves army was not excluded. Unfortunately, they had to sacrifice the expressive force of the picture. Due to fading effects and unjustified cropping, some actors look like disappearing ghosts. Some fragments arose questions, like are the tiny characters on the left fiercely fighting with somebody we can’t see? And is Loki laughing at a blank space in front of him?

Aquaman

In July 2018, the Aquaman movie poster was released online for the first time. Users quickly recognized that the fish images for the background were taken from one of the most popular stocks. They started creating their own versions with new characters, so the Aquaman poster turned into a meme.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Looks like someone decided to win the “largest number of characters on a poster” competition. The picture showing the Avengers’ mighty team is pretty overstuffed. The laws of physical proportions are also violated, as Robert Downey Jr. has an extremely small head, Captain America’s shield seems enormous, and the trio of characters in the foreground is inexcusably small.

Logan

The movie tells us the story of the relationship between Logan and Laura, the child-mutant. On the poster, Hugh Jackman’s character is holding 11-year-old Laura’s hand. If you look closely, you can see that the child’s fingers are unusually long. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be peeking out of Logan’s hand. The hand of the adult also looks disproportionately larger than the hand of the child.

X-Men Days of Future Past

Being distracted by Wolverine’s dramatic adventures in the past, the designer didn’t notice the explosion right under Professor Xavier’s flying chair. The X’s face is so full of frightful apprehension, that it seems he lost control over the device.
