The Hollywood couple met while working on the TV series, Correlli, when Jackman was just starting his acting career. Despite their 13-year age gap, the actor fell for Furness and has confessed that he still recalls the day he met his wife. “My first job out of drama school — it was a massive break for me. I was really scared. Deb, she was a big star. I get picked up, and Deb is in the front seat of the car. I’ll never forget. She took off her seatbelt and she turned around and put out her hand and took off her sunglasses and said, ’Hi, I’m Deborra-lee Furness, nice to meet you.’ I remember thinking, ‘I like this girl,’” he said.

The beloved duo tied the knot in 1996 and has been married for 26 years. On their last anniversary, Jackman celebrated the occasion by uploading an Instagram photo with the caption, “Today I celebrate 26 years of marriage to my extraordinary wife. Every single day is filled with so much laughter, joy, and backgammon!!!! Deb, you light up my life. I love you with all my heart!”
