13 of the Oldest and Goldest Living Celebrities Today

Age is just a number, which has been proven by some famous centenarians worldwide who have reached their century mark without being sick or having any major health issues. Those who made it to their nineties or their hundreds have shown us that they can also carve a place for older people in certain areas, which is often spared for the young. They continue to influence creatives of all ages. We’ve researched stars who are 95 or older today that are still with us and looking fabulous. Scroll through to find out more about them.

Caren Marsh Doll, 103 years old

Caren Marsh Doll, born in 1919, is an American entertainer, stage and screen actress, and dancer specializing in modern dance and tap. Amongst her notable works are her appearance in Ziegfeld Girl, as a dancer in Best Foot Forward, and her stand-in role in Judy Garland’s The Wizard of Oz is still thought of today, although she was never credited for it, nor was she credited for her role in Gone with the Wind. She’s one of the last surviving actresses from the Golden Age of Hollywood. She became a dance instructor in 1956 and is 103 years old today.

Iris Apfel, 101 years old

The gorgeous Iris Apfel, born in 1921, is an actress best known for her roles in Iris, The Will Iris Apfel, and Bill Cunningham: New York, and she’s been a fashion icon for decades. She has a timeless sense of style with her chunky black spectacles, bright-colored outfits, and jaw-dropping accessories. Having signed with a modeling agency just a few years ago, Apfel has over 2.4 million followers on Instagram. She turned 101 on August 29th.

Walter Mirisch, 100 years old

Born in 1921, Walter Mirisch is one of Hollywood’s most successful producers who founded the Mirisch Company with his brothers, Marvin and Harold Mirisch. Best known for his In the Heat of the Night film, Walter produced diverse hits, like Some Like It Hot, The Magnificent Seven, West Side Story, The Great Escape, The Pink Panther, and many more. He’s 100 now.

Ray Anthony, 100 years old

Born in 1922, Ray Anthony is a bandleader and musician who started playing trumpet at only 5. He’s the last surviving member of the Glenn Miller Orchestra, who he played with between 1940 and 1941, and has become unforgettable thanks to his big hits from Dragnet and Peter Gunn. Having been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Ray is 100 years old today.

Janis Paige, 100 years old

The beloved singer and actress, Janis Paige, was born in 1922. She was spotted by a Warner Brothers talent scout when singing at the Hollywood Canteen. Best known for her roles in Remains to Be Seen and The Pajama Game, Paige also went on tour as a cabaret singer, performing anywhere from New York to Miami, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. She is 100 today.

Micheline Presle, 100 years old

The highly talented and elegant Parisian actress, Micheline Presle, was born in 1922. She acted in numerous Hollywood-made French and English-language films. She was nominated for the César Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her role in I Want to Go Home. She is 100 years old today.

Noreen Nash, 98 years old

Noreen Nash, the brunette, blue-eyed film and TV actress, was born in 1924 and is also a writer. Best known for her roles in Phantom from Space, Giant, and The Devil on Wheels, Nash also won a beauty contest followed by a screen test in Hollywood. She’s 98 years old today.

Eva Marie Saint, 98 years old

Actress Eva Marie Saint, born in 1924, is best known for her roles in multiple fantastic movies, such as Superman Returns, Winter’s Tale, and more. Throughout her long career, she’s starred with Alfred Hitchcock in North by Northwest and acted opposite Marlon Brando in On the Waterfront, which earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Saint’s career began in television, appearing on camera for the first time in 1946 in Campus Hoopla.

In 2014, she acted in Winter’s Tale and served as a voice actor in the animated series, The Legend of Korra. Saint has 2 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame; one for television and one for motion pictures. She’s 98 years old today.

June Lockhart, 97 years old

Born in 1925, June Lockhart has it in her genes — she is the daughter of Gene Lockhart and Kathleen Lockhart. Best known for her roles in Lassie, Lost in Space, and more, she acted opposite her parents in A Christmas Carol in 1938. Her career also included being a voice actor role in the animated film, Bungee Bear and the Kingdom of Rhythm (2019), and she recorded voice lines for a video game called Tesla Effect. Being one of the last surviving actors of the Golden Age of Hollywood, June Lockart is a 2-time Emmy Award nominee and a Tony Award winner and is 97 today.

Dick Van Dyke, 96 years old

Born in 1925, the beloved comedian and actor, Dick Van Dyke, has a career spanning over 75 years. Best known for his role in Bye Bye Birdie, he also landed his own TV show, The Dick Van Dyke Show. Throughout his career, Van Dyke was lucky enough to play iconic roles in Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and more.

He’s won 5 Primetime Emmys, a Tony, and a Grammy Award, and was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1995. He also received the SAG Life Achievement Award in 2013, the Screen Actors Guild’s highest honor. He is 96 today and still appears in films occasionally.

Mel Brooks, 96 years old

Born in 1926, the talented actor, comedian, and filmmaker, Mel Brooks, has had a career spanning over 7 decades. Best known for directing major comedic cult classics, such as Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs, and Robin Hood: Men in Tights, he’s one of the few EGOT winners (which includes an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony).

Brooks was also honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, an AFI Life Achievement Award, a National Medal of Arts, and a BAFTA fellowship. He is 96 years old today.

Tony Bennett, 96 years old

Born in 1926, the smooth and soulful-voiced Tony Bennett is best known for his hit, “I Left my Heart in San Francisco.” The singer is also a talented artist — he’s created numerous visual art pieces under his birth name, which are currently on display in several institutions. One of his last collabs with Lady Gaga, “Cheek to Cheek,” was released in 2014, reaching No.1 in the US, making him the oldest person to top the album charts.

Throughout his illustrious career, he’s sold over 50 million records globally and won 20 Grammys, in addition to a Lifetime Achievement Award, 2 Primetime Emmys, and many more. Benett also added a Guinness World Record to his resume after releasing his final record at 95. Now retired, he’s 96 years old.

Barbara Rush, 95 years old

Barbara Rush, born in 1927, is a Golden Globe Award-winning American actress for her role in It Came from Outer Space. She graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara, after which she worked with the University Players and took acting classes. Rush co-starred opposite some of Hollywood’s biggest A-list actors, like Marlon Brando, Richard Burton, and Kirk Douglas. She is 95 years old today.

Bonus: remembering the beloved Betty White

Born in 1922, Betty White was the first woman to produce a sitcom, Life with Elizabeth, and also one of the first women to work both in front of and behind the camera. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Game Show Host as well as 5 Primetime Emmy Awards, 3 American Comedy Awards, 3 Screen Actors Guild Awards, a Grammy Award, and a Guinness Book of World Records title in 2013 for her long career of over 74 years in the industry.

She has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was a 1995 Television Hall of Fame inductee. Sadly, she passed away on December 31, 2021, at 99.
